An ad I saw on the street today for Gaga’s Roseland show. Crying at her using one of the first ‘photos’ of Lady Gaga as the photo.
This street billboard is EVERYTHING ! I love the photo they used. this picture appeared on The Sartorialist years before Stefani Germanotta became the artist we now know as Lady Gaga. Apparently, she was in New York’s Meatpacking District with her mother and a photographer asked to take her photo. When he asked for her name she said, “Lady GaGa, singer/songwriter, you’ll be hearing of me in the future!” or something along those lines. The photographer-at the time- had to stop himself from laughing. I wish I could go to the Roseland shows so bad… BRB #Crying
"That’s the thing that poisoned me from 2013 or 2012 to 2014, "we just want you to look beautiful" over, and over, and over in my head, until I just wanted to look ugly all the time. Please. Don’t tell me not do it cause you know it’s gonna happen.
It really crushed me. I’ve won grammys now, I’ve written albums, I’ve toured the world 4 times, and you’re telling me to look beautiful? that’s what this is about? It’s all back to tits and ass? That’s so sad.”
